Design a Home for Learning & Creativity, the Reggio Way - Episode #4

Show Notes

In today’s episode, we talk about the Reggio Emilia Approach, a revolutionary pedagogy developed among the ruins of World War II, its fundamental dimensions and also some ideas about how to apply them at home. In the middle of the school ruins, the villagers of Reggio Emilia discovered that children are natural learners, creators and social interactors. Designing a home for learning and creativity, as they did, can be as simple as opening ourselves to explore and learn with our children, creating spaces in our homes where we all feel inspired and registering our journey together.

What we’re talking about…

- The origins of the Reggio Emilia Approach

- Discover its four fundamental elements

- The 100 languages of children (and humanity I must say!)

- The power of relationships in learning

- The Environment as a teacher

- Documentation and making learning visible
